Professional Fireplace and Wood Stove Cleaning

Your fireplace, wood stove, and chimney should be cleaned on a regular basis which can be determined by how often you use your fireplace. Valley Chimney Sweep is your choice for professional fireplace cleaning, wood stove cleaning, chimney sweeping, and flue cleaning.

We are a family-owned company, serving over 40,000 clients across the western suburbs of Chicago. Founded on the principle of preventative chimney maintenance, we adhere to industry standards and top-notch customer service to make sure your fireplace, wood stove, and furnace flue are in safe working order.

What Should I Expect From a Professional Fireplace or Woodstove Cleaning?

Once you have made an appointment with Valley Chimney, our chimney sweep team will come to your home and inspect the inside of your fireplace or woodstove. Our CSIA Certified Chimney Sweeps® will then decide if you need a cleaning or just an inspection. If you need a cleaning, they will first lay a drop cloth in front of the fireplace to protect the environment. They will then bring in equipment to clean and remove all soot and ashes. They may also climb the roof and inspect the chimney from the top.

My Fireplace Looks Clean, Do I Really Need a Chimney Sweep?

If you are new to your home, you’ll want to understand the ins and outs of your chimney, flue, and fireplace (or woodstove). Our Certified Chimney Sweep® might recommend an evaluation or inspection rather than a full cleaning during your first visit. The chimney technicians will give you peace of mind by letting you know your heating appliances are vented properly, that there is no unseen buildup in your chimney, and that you will be safe when you light your next fire.

Give us a call today, we’d be happy to explain our process.

Back To Services

“We had Valley Chimney Sweep out to check out a cracked firebox on a home we were considering purchasing.  They were honest & upfront about the condition of the chimney, what would need to be repaired, and what future repairs would look like (the chimney was built incorrectly).  The price for inspection was reasonable and if we choose to have the work done, the inspection payment is considered a prepayment toward the repairs.”
